Video Transfers

VHS Video Tape to DVD

The advent and popularity of digital video has seen the demise of all old analogue recorders. As a general purpose archive medium VHS and other analogue tapes gave relatively inferior picture quality compared to current day digital media, but more importantly they were far more vulnerable than DVD's to physical damage when played on a daily basis (the amount of broken tapes we receive each month for repair certainly attests to that fact )!

VHS, VHS-C, S-VHS, Video-8 and Hi-8 will all soon become obsolete in the same way as Betamax did in the late 80's.This format was at one time the main rival to VHS but was soundly beaten into submission by some very poor marketing decisions made by Sony at the time.

Transfers

We can transfer & repair all of the formats previously mentioned, and for as little as £5 per hour you can have peace of mind and the security of knowing that your priceless family videos will be around for future generations to enjoy.

Our transfer process ensures that you get a high quality digital transfer of your video rather than a third generation analog copy.

Chapters etc.

With our Basic transfer you automatically get 'chapters' every 5 minutes (or 10 mins if you wish). This is convenient when 'scanning forward' on you DVD player to find a particular clip. But if you want more control, then we recommend adding menus and 'specific' chapter points with titles and thumbnail images at the beginning of your DVD for the ultimate navigational experience!
